Golden Years Conferene in Vienna

I am checking in from the international symposion in honour of Walter Pohl entitled “Golden Years for the Dark Ages – The Transformation of early Medieval Studies since ca 1980“. By accident, I came accross the poster hardly a week ago and after some hesitation I spontaneusly decided to travel to Vienna and participate at the conference. Although the programme remained until this morning somewhat mysterious, the list of confirmed speakers reads like a who-is-who in research on Early Middle Ages. So far I am everything but disappointed. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, to meet, and to connect. FFP2 mask obligation is, however, not particularly helpful.
