A copy of the most recent bulletin of the Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul (SRII) with the quite peculiar title Kalabalık! had reached me the other day. It recalled immediately all the fond memories of my research stay during the spring 2022 (though, ironically, the title page shows an Istanbul literally buried in snow). This issue is quite special: it features one specific branch of my ongoing research on religion and migration in late Antiquity: the mysterious long distance relic translations before the commercialisation of relic trade in the 7-8 centuries.
You can download the complete bulletin from the website of the SRII by clicking here or the featuring section here. Good reading!
