I am thrilled to share the incredible news that I have been awarded a competative SNSF Swiss PostDoctoral Fellowhip! I am immensely grateful for the confidence placed in me and in my project. The project is entitled Minorities on the Move: Mapping Religious Migration in the Western Roman Empire, and it aims outline a methodological framework for the exploration of entanglements of migration and religion in Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages. As it seems, these entanglements are intriguing, and not only for me.
This fellowship, with its reputation for nurturing excellence, opens up new avenues for exploration of migration&religion, but also for me personally. After almost 7 years at KU Leuven, I will continue my academic journey at the Theological Faculty of the University of Bern from summer 2024 under the auspice of Katharina Heyden. She is leading scholar on the field of of religious and cultural entanglemes in Antiquity and grantee of a SNFS Advanced Grant 2022. I very much looking forward to
The SNSF Swiss PostDoctoral Fellowhip is a transitional measure scheme and replaces Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-IF) due to a dissociation of Switzerland from Horizon Europa programs: Same application form, same evaluation criteria and procedure, same success rate. This fellowship is a prestigious honor that recognizes outstanding top-notch research.
