Biannually, the University of Bern organises an all-day public outreach event called the Nacht der Forschung, or the Night of Research. The aim is not simply to showcase research for the general public. With over 50 project presentations, 100 public lectures, concerts, art installations, and exhibitions, the Night of Research is truly a feast of science.
I was lucky enough to be selected for a presentation. The topic is as relevant today as it gets: it revolves around the question of how migration and mobility shape religion. The letters of Cyprian of Carthage offer various insights, many on a personal level. This personal approach has the potential to bridge past and present human experiences.
